week one reflection

While a lot of the issues that were subject of the first week, the greenhouse gases, the feedbacks, albedo effect, the role of water vapour, were familiar, i was struck by just how wrong the term 'greenhouse effect' really is. And wondering how much damage to the understanding this choice of term has caused over the years. Not only is the term incorrect, it is also connected to almost 100% positive effects.. Vegies from the greenhouse even in the winter just being one association. Looking forward to the next weeks and to check on my knowlegde and eventually brush up on a few facts.
